des recettes bretonnes en anglais


Recipe :
PANCAKES
Ustensils :1 wisk, 1 plate, 1 salad bowl, 1 scraper, 1 spatula, 1 frying pan

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

 250 grammes of wheat flour, 3 eggs, 50 grammes of sugar, 1 half litre of milk,

one sachet of vanilla sugar, some oil

The pancake batter's preparation :

                   Take the salad bowl, pour the flour and the milk into. Wisk well.

                  Add the eggs and wisk again.

                  Tip sugar and vanilla sugar in the preparation.

                  Take the frying pan. Dip one piece of hand towel in the oil and grease the frying pan with it.

                  Spread some pancake batter in the frying pan. Wait around one minute, put the spatula under the pancake and turn it over.

 (Pancakes are usually prepared in Candlemas day.)
Recipe :

Caramel with salted butter

Ingredients (for 4 persons):

                  15 pieces of sugar
                  10 cl of water (1 small glass)
                  30 grammes of butter
                  4 spoons of cream

Preparation : 10 minutes, cooking : 5 minutes

1.           Cook sugar and water over a brisk heat in a saucepan.

2.           Pour 30 gr of salted butter into and mix well.

3.           Cook gently.

4.           Add 4 spoons of cream.

5.           Mix well until you get a smooth caramel.

 It's great to garnish pancakes, and also cooked apples (with vanilla).

Recipe :

Breton shortbread biscuits

Ingredients (for 24 persons): 

500 grammes of butter 10 kilogrammes of salt 1 kilogramme of flour 40 grammes of yeast 10 yolks of eggs 400 grammes of sugar 2 vanilla pods

Preparation :

                   Prepare soften butter.

                  Mix flour and yeast apart.

                  Mix yolks of eggs with sugar

Recipe :
The Breton four quarters


Ingredients (for 6 persons) :
3 or 4 apples cut into pieces 4 eggs 250 grammes of butter 250 grammes of sugar 250 grammes of flour 1 sachet of yeast
Preparation :
1.           Mix together eggs ans sugar.

2.           Add melted butter.

3.           Pour sieved flour into and mix.

4.           Get stiff egg whites.

5.           Add the egg whites with a wooden spatula.

6.               Pour the batter into the cake tin with the spatula. Flatten the mixture.

7.           Put the cake in the oven (from 180 to 200 degrees) and cook it 40 or 45 minutes.

8.           Verify if the cake is well cooked with a knife blade. This blade must be dried when the cake is ready.

9.           Put the cake out of the oven, then turn it out of the tin.

10.             Have a delicious meal with the cool cake !
